The Osoyoos Cottages site has been divided into 20 zones, with Volunteer Block Captains assigned to each zone.

Block Captain Responsibilities

Block Captains will:

Introduce themselves to the resident(s) in each home, and let them know the purpose of the Block Captain.
Assist in directing Fire, Ambulance, Police, etc. to where the resource is needed.
Alert residents of the danger zones(s) of fire, or other hazards.
In the event of an Evacuation Alert or Order, Block Captains will go door to door, alerting all residents of the evacuation status, advising them of where the evacuation site is.

Please note that, as our population fluctuates, the EPC Committee is always looking for volunteers to fill vacancies. If you are interested in volunteering as a Block Captain, please note the zone where you are located and contact the EPC. Thank you!
